John Partridge
Music director of the festival – John Partridge – is a nationally known ragtime composer and performer who has performed at festivals in Eau Claire, San Antonio, Sedalia and Sutter Creek. He is also director of Music Ministries at the First Presbyterian Church of Napa and Music Director of the Sonoma Hometown Band.
Larisa Migachyov
Larisa Migachyov
Larisa Migachyov was born in Russia and began piano lessons at the age of 5. After many years of classical piano studies, she became interested in ragtime in 2005. She has performed at the Scott Joplin Festival, the West Coast Ragtime Festival, and many others, including the Bohem Ragtime Festival in Hungary and the Buenos Aires Ragtime Festival in Argentina. She has recently given a ragtime concert at Carnegie Hall.
Sue Keller
Sue Keller
SSue Keller is one of the world’s foremost ragtime pianists: she has
played everywhere from Australia to Germany to Scotland and back again.
Sue graduated with a theatre major and music minor from DePauw
University in Greencastle, Indiana. She ran the prestigious Scott Joplin
Ragtime Festival from 2003 until 2010, and has held her own festivals in
Staten Island, New York, Tinley Park, Illinois, and now in Orleans on
Cape Cod. Since she has been on the Cape, Sue has gotten back into
theatre, as Musical Director for “Jekyll and Hyde”, “The Full Monty”,
and “The Girl from Quanset.”

Sue’s latest CD release, her fourteenth, is a Max Morath compilation
with Jeff Barnhart.

Sue Nigro
Sue Nigro
Susan Nigro is one of the world’s very few contrabassoon soloists. Nigro has played numerous recitals and solo appearances in places such as Salzburg, Montevideo and Rome and throughout the United States. She gives master classes, workshops, and lecture-demonstrations and she has many times been a featured artist at the annual conferences of the International Double Reed Society. She is currently contrabassoonist with the Illinois Philharmonic.

Nigro has commissioned over 50 works for contrabassoon, and we are thrilled that one of them – ‘Chicago Cake Walk’ by Ann Kurrasch – will be receiving its premiered as part of this year’s festival

Nick Arteaga
New To the festival this year, Nick has participated in various small jazz and ragtime festivals in California including the West Coast Ragtime Festival, the Sacramento Jazz Jubilee and the Sutter Creek Ragtime festival. As a composer Nick’s work include many piano rags, Latin pieces and teaching material. Nick lives in Chico and works in local real-estate
Michael O'Brien
Michael O'Brien
Also new to our festival this year, Michael O’Brien is well known around the Bay Area as a performer, composer and accompanist. Self-taught as both a pianist and a guitarist, he has been an accompanist for choreographers at Pacific Ballet, Univ. of SF, SF State and performed at restaurants and clubs – including Yoshi’s. He is currently being playing at senior retirement centers, assisted living facilities and convalescent homes in the Sonoma, Napa and Marin areas.
Maple Profant
Maple Profant
Maple Profant is a Jazz, Boogie, and Blues Pianist and Vocalist, performing regularly in Northern California venues. Maple grew up near Chicago and consequently has a fondness for trains, rivers, fedoras, and stories of Al Capone style nightclubs. Maple plays solo, in bands, on live radio, for theater, in the studio, and even once sat in and improvised with an orchestra. Maple aims to make you fall in love under the spell of Piano Noir.
